The health officials from the territories and freely-associated states are valued members and we are committed to advocating for the unique policy needs and priorities of the Pacific and Atlantic jurisdictions. The insular areas face unique challenges locally but also require a specific strategy here in Washington, D.C. Funding approaches and requirements set for states do not always translate to the unique context of the insular areas.
