Workforce Planning Guide: Guidance, Tools, and Resources to Assist Public Health Agencies in Workforce Planning

The Workforce Planning Guide assists public health agencies with workforce planning. It provides information, resources, and tools to develop an effective workforce planning process to create a three- to five-year workforce plan, and is designed for all governmental public health agencies at all stages of plan preparation.
The development of this guide was a collaborative effort between ASTHO and the Workforce Planning Guide Advisory Team, with representatives from governmental public health agencies and national and state agencies with expertise in the governmental public health workforce.
